The Must See Attractions You Should Put On Your Day Tour - Bali's Must See Areas
The Rice Terraces of Jatiluwih (Sawah di Jatiluwih)

The rice paddies of Jatiluwih, which became an UNESCO world heritage area in 2013, are one of Bali’s most photographed attractions as they offer a spectacular scenery and nearly every driver puts this fantastic Must See place on his tour.

The tessellated rice paddies are located in the regency of Taban about an 80-90 minutes trip away from well known Kuta, Seminyak, Jimbaran, Legian or Nusa Dua and a little less to from Sanur. Nearly every driver put this outstanding place of interest on the day tour and we highly recommend to YOU to see it as well.

The Air 800 meters above the sea level is cool and fresh and the area invites you for a stroll. In case you are a walker enthusiast, plan to stay here at least for two hours. If you come there only to enjoy the magnificent scenery, enjoy one of the local Warungs or a western standard restaurant, located on top of the rice paddies, offering a fantastic view while you are eating your lunch. Make sure you have a Balinese driver and ask him about the watering system for Bali’s rice paddies called Subak. It is the most sophisticated water management or irrigation system in the world, developed more than 1.000 years ago and enlisted as a world heritage by the UNESCO in 2012.

Additional Information 1: The cultural landscape of Bali consists of five rice terraces and their water temples that cover 19,500 ha
