Sekumpul Waterfalls Bali

Sekumpul Waterfalls Bali Indonesia (Air Terjun Ceret Bali Indonesia)

The distance from Kuta to the Sekumpul Waterfalls, with their location being in the Sawan district, of the Buleleng regency, is 90 kilometers and it takes about 3 hours by car to get there.

A couple of years ago, these hidden gems were still an insider’s tip but due to the unique and fantastic location they have become more and more attractive over the last couple of years.

It is highly recommended to use a guide as these grandeurs of nature are located in an unspoiled area in the middle of the rainforest, away from civilization with hundreds of steps having to be managed as well as containing rapidly moving rivers that have to be crossed. Also the signs are confusing making these natural beauties difficult to reach.

The highest Cascade has a height of 80 meters or 262 feet. Once you have arrived at this sleepy place, your effort is rewarded with some outstanding scenery. It is surrounded by lush green rainforest that has an amazing fauna and flora plus the fresh water pools which are simply perfect for cooling down in are just some of the benefits that you will experience here. Due to this being an uncharted area it is one of the best places in Bali to forget about the problems of everyday life and you can feel close to nature.

Tip 1: The hike is physically demanding and if you are not well trained you should skip this place of interest as it will be too vigorous for you.

Tip 2:  In case you would like to go there on your own, please don’t follow the signs, ask for some locals help instead!

Tip 3: Bring a waterproof pouch and footwear that can grip to slippery rocks in addition to the previously recommended things

Additional Information 1: Hikers have the option to book a 3 – 4 hour guided tour. If you are interested, please ask your friendly hotel staff for further assistance.

Additional information 2: The two smaller falls are pretty much unique as the waters of these two streams trace back to a spring in a cave and not to a river.
