MELIÁ BALI PARTICIPATES IN INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEANUP DAY 2017

Nusa Dua, Bali – In partnership with Bali Hotels Association and Ocean Conservancy, Meliá Bali participates in International Coastal Cleanup Day 2017 which was held on Saturday, September 16th, 2017. Meliá Bali engages the employee to remove trash from the world’s beaches and waterways, identify the sources of debris and change the behaviours.

It is exciting to see the cleanup grow each year. The members of Melia Bali are not only removing more trash from beaches, but they are also contributing to a better understanding of the types of waste entering the ocean.

More than 62 kilograms trash from plastic bottles, plastic in all sizes, paper waste, toys and cigarette buds, were all collected and weighed in. A total of 10 trash bags were filled collected along the shores of Nusa Dua beach, including Nusa Darma and Nusa Gede Peninsula area for around 1 kilometres by 65 members of staffs and management of Meliá Bali.
