Both, Tanah Lot and Jatiluwih, two of Bali’s most popular tour attractions, are located in the regency of Tabanan. However, this is the only thing, both attractions have in common. It finally shows the two faces of Tabanan. The green area in the north-eastern part of Tabanan guarantees you stunning rice terrace views, cycling opportunities or pure action, such as Quad Tours. The coastal area has great surf spots, a nice 18 hole golf course and collects points with Tanah Lot. The South-eastern part of Tabanan is very close to Seminyak, Bali’s sophisticated nightlife area.

If you are looking for a very relaxing and anonymous place in Bali, but not too far from Seminyak, the south-western part of Tabanan should probably be your choice.

After being nominated as a world's cultural heritage site in 2007 and in 2013 UNESCO acknowledged the title.

Plan your Day Trip to Tabanan and combine the following highlights:

  • Tanah Lot
  • Quad Adventure
  • Jatiluwih
