Klungkung is Bali’s smallest regency. All the more astonishing, that about 60% of Klungkung’s area belongs to Nusa Penida, Bali’s little sister Island.
If you would like to experience how Bali was about 30 years ago, take a fast boat and have a 45 minute ride to this lovely island. Don’t forget to bring your snorkelling equipment, as Nusa Penida offers some of the greatest Diving Spots in Bali such as Manta Point.
Semarapura, the capital of Klungkung, is clean and invites you to stroll around and partake in some shopping. The prices here are still reasonable and those who are good at negotiating can get some nice bargains.
The most popular attraction in Klungkung is The Hall of Justice (Kerta Gosa). The ceiling paintings are simply stunning and show what happens in the afterlife.
Plan your Day Trip to Klungkung and combine the following highlights:
- Nusa Penida
